    George T Scully founds George T Scully Insurance Service to support his family during the country’s Great Depression

  • 1958

    John J Scully joins his father and founder, George T Scully

  • 1981

    John Scully Jr, joins his father in the insurance business, after three years as an underwriter at Reliance Insurance in Detroit, Michigan

  • 1983

    Scully Insurance Service Inc is formed

  • 1985

    Patrick Scully joins his father and brother in the agency after gaining industry knowledge from Baltimore-based Maryland Casualty Company

  • 1989

    Scully Insurance Services sets up shop on Western Avenue in Chicago’s Beverly neighborhood

  • 1992

    Scully Insurance Services moves down the street to the Southwest Financial Bank building on 103rd & Western

  • 2006

    The Scully brothers partner with friendly competitors, brothers Tom and Bill Riordan of Riordan, to form Riordan & Scully Insurance in Oak Brook

  • 2018

    John's daughter, Kate Scully Krebsbach, joins the agency to establish the fourth generation of Scullys in insurance

  • 2019

    Riordan & Scully Insurance joins forces with Milwaukee-based, Robertson Ryan & Associates, to become the first affiliate in Illinois

  • 2021

    Scully Insurance Group, an affiliate of Robertson Ryan & Associates is established

  • 2023

    Patrick’s son, Brendan Scully, joins the agency to continue the fourth generation of Scullys in insurance.
